About Tracy

Tracy Casagrande Clancy is an artist working in mixed media with a focus in encaustic painting, collage and sculpture. Participating in various solo and group exhibitions throughout North America and Europe, her work is held in both private and public collections throughout North America, Europe and Australia and is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Encaustic Art (Santa Fe).

Casagrande Clancy holds both graduate and undergraduate degrees in Counseling, Social Work, Sociology and Fine Art, with concentrations in Pediatric & Family Grief Studies and Photography. Prior to returning to working as a full-time artist 14 years ago, Tracy worked as a grief therapist with children and their families experiencing grief and loss. Her areas of expertise included Neonatal and Pediatric Trauma and Intensive Care, HIV/AIDS, Community Disaster Relief and Homelessness.

These experiences intimately inform Tracy’s artwork and eventuated a deeply ingrained belief in human interconnectedness and interdependence. Her exploration of this universal connection is seen through her consistent use of iconography and references to shelter, anatomy and the human figure in all its incarnations. Tracy teaches online and in-person encaustic and mixed media workshops and works from her 8th floor studio at the Pendleton Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
